Mobile Platform
The Mobile CIL is a ‘state-of-the-art’ mobile interviewing lab that can be driven to agency locations.
The Mobile CIL is designed as a comfortable and welcoming space for children while also functioning as a forensic interviewing center on wheels.
Forensic Interviewing
The Mobile CIL conducts legally-defensible, trauma-informed and victim-centered, recorded and transcripted forensic interviews of child abuse victims free of charge to law enforcement detectives, social workers, and county and city attorneys investigating their cases. The testimonies of these young victims are a vital part of the evidence used to prosecute their offenders.
We also offer advocacy services to the victims and their non-offending family members.
Services are provided at the requestors’ locations
Portable Platform
Interviewers with the Mobile CIL are also equipped with laptop-based digital recording kits to support their ability to do interviews at locations that are more logistically and geographically challenging to get to, (e.g. a hospital, a school or at a victims’ secure location).
